Sorry peeps

Sorry there has not been much going on here for a while, more pressing engagements have prevented any radio stuff. But stay tuned!

Next on the bench is a Wartime Civilian set. The code is U16, this makes a Hale Electrical Co Ltd one.
The Mains TX is fried so will need a rewind, along with some wiring fettling.

Pictures to follow

Well the Cossor 439 is now working on all three bands. Changed a couple of caps and some crumbly wiring.

Cossor 439 Battery set 1939

Next on the list is a Cossor 439 from the late 1930's.

A battery only set with it's own home made eliminator. It kind of works on MW and LW but nothing on SW.

Some pots have been changed along with a 2uf electrolytic. Hope the coils are intact!

Wont be until next week any work is done still suffering with a stomach bug so still not far from the lav!

The KB toaster is now working well. The mains smoothing resistor  (R11 on the trader sheet) was fried, so this was changed, along with a couple of caps in the oscillator circuit and AGC line. this got the set oscillating and working on both wave bands. Nice!

Sir Sydney will be pleased as he threw down the gauntlet!

I have no idea why this kind of set is desirable, but anyway I have one that has been fixed to working.
